Done with my load from Fontana to Wal-Mart in Hermiston OR. Started 0400am this morning to finish the last few hundred miles I had left.
Now I'm at the Spaceage truckstop doing my sleeper birth, then I'm off tomorrow morning to pick up a load at Bluebird in Peshastin WA to be delivered in Gas City IN.
Just 10 miles away from my previous load I'll be picking up my next load going to Wal-Mart in Hermiston, OR.
This is a nice and friendly place with a scale to weigh your axles before your leave. And it's free!
Good thing they had cause my trailer was too heavy in the front, even with the tandem slid all the way forward I was unable to get legal. Picture is taken with the tandem in hole #9 before adjustment.
99% of the time the holes between 8-12 is the ones to use with reefer trailers here at Knight.
A little late because I decided in the last minute to do an inspection on my truck at the Fontana yard, but there were no problems or delays at the receiver because of it so I'm good.
It's crazy tight and busy in here, probably one of the worst places I've been to. Now just got into a door and they start unloading me immediately. My next load is preloaded and being picked up in Rialto once I'm done here, then of to Wal-Mart in Hermiston OR.
It's a pretty hot day here in California today, need both my windows rolled down while I'm waiting. Pretty good for the middle of November :)
On my way back west now to Fontana California with a load I picked up in Amarillo from another driver. We just switched trailers, he didn't wanna go west and I didn't wanna go east just yet.
Now having my break at my watering hole here at the Flying J in Kingman AZ. I've got about 5 more hours to drive today. No stress, it's still early.
Stopped here for some reefer fuel and then my 14 hour clock was out. Parked across the street at Speedco cause Loves was full.
Then I'm here, first pickup of a total of three going to be delivered in Philadelphia on Tuesday, but not my me. It will be relayed so I can go back west for a week more.
Next stop will be back in Nogales, then the last in Maricopa. About 130 miles the opposite way.
I'm back here again to try get this beef unloaded. Showed up at 8 like I was told to and waited for about 4 hours then they were ready. They were actually ready at the same time the other truck pulled in here so I guess that's the one taking it into Mexico. From what I understand when I talked to them yesterday was they had no way to keep it cool in their warehouse..
I've got to the consigne on time today, but didn't help much cause they couldn't unload before they got approval from the customs in Mexico. They speak pretty much only spanish where I was, but they had one guy there they used to translate. Now I'm at the Pilot just 5 miles away waiting until tomorrow, been here all day since 11:00am.
Been killing time on Netflix and internet and the new premium Wi-Fi they offer at pilot and flying j's is pretty good and worth the money. It's alot cheaper than the extra gigabyte att&t adds when you run out.
Woke up this morning with a new president. Was pretty tired last night, but tried watching the election on tv, but I failed and fell asleep.
Drove 8 hours straight to Loves in Las Cruces, filled up my tanks, had a short break and drove another two hours to Flying J here in Lordsburg, NM.
I have about 200 miles left to Nogales so it's gonna be an early start tomorrow. My appointment is no later than 11am on Thursday.
I'm now at a rest area south of Colorado Springs on I-25 just done a 10 hour break. Loaded up yesterday at Millards Cold Storage in Greeley going to Nogales, AZ.
My previous load, the ice cream from Henderson to Safeway was delivered on time. They unloaded pretty fast, but had to wait three hours for my bills and pay a $171 lumper fee. Next time I'm not gonna move the truck an inch from the dock before I get my bills.
